Art and Surf in Kauai at a.ell atelier

So proud of my dear friend Spencer Reynolds!¬† Demand for his surf art is skyrocketing, but have no fear I’m certain¬† I’ll always have a great selection for you to peruse in Kauai.¬† We have his original art as well as plenty prints available for you.

Here is what Spencer is involved with and what he says in his latest blog….

Wow it’s been way too long faithful friends. My wife and I have been busy adjusting to being parents, working full time, and squeezing in moments of fun. Blake is already 6 months old, where does that time go? But let me get to the point…

Growing interest in my artwork has kept me busy as well. I recently participated in a benefit for SurfAid International. The mission of SurfAid International, a non-profit humanitarian organization, is to improve the health, wellbeing, and self-reliance of people living in isolated communities connected to us through surfing.

Fifteen amazing artists were asked to paint surfboards, which are being auctioned off. The proceeds from the board sales are split between SurfAid and the artist. Thus far the venture has been highly successful, bringing a lot of attention to SurfAid and the artists involved. The finished boards were premiered two weeks ago at the Aaron Chang Ocean Art Gallery in Solana Beach. To date 6 boards have sold!

I partnered with shaper Jeff “Doc” Lausch for my piece. You can check it out here, and if you’re interested in buying the original, it’s still available. I haven’t painted many surfboards, and don’t plan on doing many more in the future, so it’s definitely a collectors item.
